when does early bird pricing end?

Early Bird pricing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis until the limited supply of registrations are filled. We will give a final call for Early Bird pricing on social media via Instagram and Facebook once the limited supply begins to run low. Follow us at @RemedyFoodProject for updates!

Will food prices go up or do they need to be purchased during the Early Bird window?

Food pricing will remain the same after Early Bird pricing ends.

When will the final schedule be available?

The preliminary schedule will be posted before Early Bird pricing ends. The Remedy Team will keep the most up-to-date schedule posted on our website. Due to the nature of these events with so many popular speakers with busy travel schedules, the event schedule is subject to change. Times may shift, speakers may be added, and rarely (but sometimes) a speaker will drop out on us.

Can I purchase meals onsite?

Meals should be purchased in advance. Although we will be able to sell a very limited number of meals onsite, Remedy must provide final meal count a month prior to the event in order to guarantee an abundant and filling buffet for all participants.

Will you be offering any student discounts for the upcoming conference?

The Remedy Team has tried to put the price points together such that there's an option to attend for nearly every budget. Be sure to check with your school or medical associations to see if there are funds available to support educational efforts for students attending education events.

Are we allowed to share rooms with other attendees?

Absolutely! We don't have a formal room-sharing connection method, but if you're looking for someone to share a room with, refer to our event page on Facebook for attendees with a similar request. If you're a member of any related Facebook or private groups where there might be other potential attendees, we recommend you post there as well. If you don’t have Facebook, send us an inquiry through our contact form and our team will keep your information and connect you with the next person who asks the same question.

Will you provide a method for ride sharing to and from the airport?

Feel free to start or comment on a string on our event page on Facebook. If you don’t have Facebook, send us an inquiry through our contact form and our team will keep your information and connect you with the next person who asks the same question.

Will you offer Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits?

Yes, we intend to get accreditation from the AAFP for their 'prescribed credits'. Typically, those credits are applicable to nearly every agency and health-oriented profession, but you'll want to check with your state's governing body or the organization from which you seek credit that they will be recognized. Check for more information!

Will you offer child care services or programming?

In the past, we have not offered child care services, as there hasn't been a request. However, if we receive several inquiries for child care and children’s programming over the summer, we will explore the possibility of providing a kid-friendly track!

How do I get the VIP Pass?

The VIP Pass is an option that will pop up when you go to checkout as an optional add-on.

Are there scholarships available to attend?

The Remedy Food Project recognizes the inequalities in the food and health system and this year we have teamed up with The Invisible Vegan  to promote the importance of access to healthy food, education, and resources. The Invisible Vegan Scholarship is a need-based award for those who require financial assistance to attend the event.  Applicants must submit a short narrative essay that illustrates why are they are interested in attending the retreat and why they should receive the scholarship.  It must be accompanied by a 2-3 minute video addressing the importance of ACCESS within the current food and health system.

Submit an application via this link to be considered.

The Scholarship covers admission to the event, which is priced at $499, but those selected will be responsible for their own travel, meals, and lodging. The event will take place on November 7-10th in Stevenson, WA, just a 40-minute drive outside of Portland, Oregon.  Applications are due August 30th. Winners will be announced September 15th.  The name and photo associated with your Google account will be recorded when you upload files and submit the application form.

Can I volunteer in exchange for a ticket?

Thanks for your interest! We very rarely have needs for volunteers for our event. The best way to ensure you will have a seat at the event is to purchase a pass.

Is lodging included in the cost of the ticket?

Lodging must be booked separately. Remedy has negotiated a special rate with Skamania Lodge, which is valid 3 days before and 3 days after the event dates (November 4-13). Make it a true getaway! Click here to secure our discounted rate!
